日本の妖怪、餓者髑髏と般若を手彫り彫金で表現した肥後守ナイフです。

「餓者髑髏」は日本の妖怪で、戦死者や野垂れ死んだ者など、埋葬されなかった亡者たちの怨念が集まり大きな骸骨の姿となったとされる。
夜中にさまよい歩き、生者を握りつぶして食べるといわれる。

「般若」はお面として表現されることが多く、女性の鬼である。
悲しみと怒りを表現した嫉妬深い女性の象徴として、日本の芸術舞台にて演じられている。

切味・耐久性も素晴らしく、長く愛用できる仕上げとなってます。

This is a Higonokami knife that depicts Japanese monsters, the Hungry giant skull and Hannya, with metal engravings.

The ''Gashadokuro_giant starving Skull'' is a Japanese monster that is said to have gathered the grudges of the dead who were not buried, such as those killed in battle or those who died in the fields, and took on the form of a large skeleton.

''Hannya'' is often depicted as a mask and is a female demon.
It stands on stage in Japanese art as a symbol of a jealous woman expressing sadness and anger.

The material is Blue steel "Warikomi".
The Handle (Scabbard) is made of brass. You can also enjoy the color change over time.
It has an excellent cutting quality and durability, and has a finish that can be used for a long time.
Please use it for woodworking, bamboo crafts, do-it-yourself projects, outdoor activities, etc.

All of the Higonokami that my shop sells are made by Nagao Kanekoma Factory.
Founded in 1894.
